Located in a picturesque part of Khmelnytskyi Oblast on a promontory that lies on the confluence of the Southern Bug and the Buzhok rivers, the castle is one of the oldest fortifications in Ukraine. The castle, which has changed owners and form over the centuries, is one of Ukraine\u2019s most prominent landmarks.<\/p>\n<p>Obverse: above is the legend \u0423\u041a\u0420\u0410\u0407\u041d\u0410 (Ukraine), below which is Ukraine\u2019s small coat of arms; on both sides of the coat of arms are the numbers 20 and 18; in the center is the following composition: a shield depicting a tower, on both sides of which is a stylized map of the area with the legends \u0440. \u0411\u043e\u0433 (the Boh River) (to the left) and \u0440. \u0411\u043e\u0436\u043e\u043a (the Bozhok River) (to the right) \u2013 the ancient names of the rivers; below the composition is a ribbon with the legend \u0423\u041a\u0420\u0410\u0407\u041d\u0421\u042c\u041a\u0418\u0419 \u0429\u0418\u0422 \u0404\u0412\u0420\u041e\u041f\u0418 (the Ukrainian shield of Europe); beneath, against the background of merlons, is the coin face value 5\/\u0413\u0420\u0418\u0412\u0415\u041d\u042c (5\/hryvnias); to the left, is the mint mark of the NBU Banknote Printing and Minting Works.<\/p>\n<p>Reverse: there is depicted a bird\u2019s-eye view of the mighty Medzhybizh Castle; above is the following legend: \u041c\u0415\u0414\u0416\u0418\u0411\u0406\u0417\u042c\u041a\u0410 \u0424\u041e\u0420\u0422\u0415\u0426\u042f \u0425\u0406\u0406\u2013\u0425V\u0406 \u0421\u0422 (Medzhybizh Castle the 12th \u2013 the
